  Ayurveda is the most ancient & complete medical science known to Mankind.
  The word is translated as Ayus (Life) + Vidhya (Knowledge).
  a.k.a. The Science of Life or The Knowledge of Everything.
 
  The basic concept of Ayurveda is one of prevention; eating a healthy diet & living a healthy
  lifestyle will prevent all diseases. The fundamental principle underlying this science is that all
  living beings are Microcosms (Smaller Universes) of the Macrocosm (Larger Universe). 

  Ayurveda is based on India's most ancient manuscripts, the Vedas. Its origination is thought to be
  c.10,000 years ago, in the fertile Indus Valley of Northern India. These manuscripts are written in
  Sanskrit (Language of the Gods), the language of the indigenous Vedic people. Beautifully concise
   Sutras (Verses) describe the Vedic's exploration & perception of God.

  Ayurveda is a branch of the 4th Veda, the Arthava Veda.This most lucid literature on Health &
  Healing, Life & Longevity, is the original ancestor of all the world's medicinal systems; it is
  Holistic, in every sense of the word.
